411 Safety Shop & Training is owned and operated by a lifelong resident of the Des Moines area, Karen "Kiki" Joslin. She is a child care provider that has been educating people on safety and the proper care for children of all ages for over 25 years. She offers courses for parents and child care providers in Adult and Pediatric first aid, Adult and Pediatric CPR/AED, Universal Precautions, home safety and BLS CPR for Healthcare Providers.
It was her devotion to child safety advocacy and her experiences working as a Child Passenger Safety Technician, an EMT-I, a child care provider, an in-home child proofing expert, and as a partner with Safe Kids of Greater Des Moines that lead her to open this unique business. Kiki is also a respected member of the Iowa Emergency Medical Services Association and of the International Association for Child Safety.
